Vintage US ARMY AMHERST Canteen Cover with Canteen, Great Condition!. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. I found this canteen and cover in a storage locker purchase, so I don’t know anything about it. The cover is stamped on the back. I don’t think this canteen is the original canteen. I believe this because the canteen is stamped TAIWAN. However, it is a metal canteen and does appear vintage. The only flaw I could find other than normal wear from age is that the chain from the canteen is not connected to the canteen. I did not attempt to fix this myself for fear of damaging the chain. I will leave that to the buyer.
