Vintage Maple Wood Schreiber Bassoon Serial # 2041 Beautiful piece. Professionally Serviced.
Fine playing condition with mostly older pads. Matt Bordoshuk at Chicago Music Center did the professional servicing of this in July 2021.
Replaced all tenon corks (string on the tenor joint)
re-installed U-tube lugs
replaced boot cork
glued 3 loose posts
replaced 2 missing pivot screws
replaced 4 pads
reset adjustments/timing (i.e. keys that close together or close one another)
The carrying case has some loose threading but still very usable.
