Vintage 1961 Fox "Model II" Wood Bassoon; Fox Overhauled / New Case & C2 Bocal

Description

For consideration is a Fox "Model II" wood bassoon. It has recently been overhauled by Fox; work included: a full repad, repaired boot socket, replaced bell ring, and a regulation / adjustment. It has a new 1580MB Fox nylon case and new C No. 2 nickel silver plated bocal. The serial number, 644, dates it to 1961. Cosmetically, it has wear in the common areas, but no issues to affect play-ability. The keys were buffed to shine during the overhaul and are in nice condition. If you want any specific pictures that aren't shown, do not hesitate to ask.
A Professional Bassoonist tried it out and gave a few notes / things that he noticed:
- No high E
- Does have a high D
- No whisper key lock
- F Key is lower than some more modern models
- Alt F# is lower than modern models
- No clothing guard
- Plays well
