Revell presents, 1/48 scale, Vintage detailed plastic model kit, Vietnam Air Rescue Helicopter, Sikorsky HH-53C, 5784, USAF.
Many aircraft were shot down in Vietnam, but were not destroyed. The Air Force created the giant HH-53C Super Jolly Green Giant to rescue the downed pilots and to hoist the shot down aircraft. This huge machine owes its loading capability to the great Skycrane helicopter. The Super Jolly contained armor protection and extra fuel for a six man crew on a rescue mission. The Super Jolly was used by the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Air Force.
**This is a plastic model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. Glue, model paints, and other basic modeling tools are additionally required**
Includes Detailed pictorial instructions, Decal sheet (waterslide).
Model features include; rotating main and tail rotor; auxiliary fuel tanks; refueling probe; rescue hoist included; detailed cockpit including rudder pedals and both cyclic and collective controls; large cargo area with opening cargo door; optional Army Jeep and 105mm Howitzer are included for load; removable engine covers.
When fully assembled, this 1/48 scale model is- Length: 22".
