The Austrian plastic canteen the most typically carry when hiking or camping.
It follows the basic 1 liter design of its aluminum forefather, but is made from clear plastic.
The clear plastic is a fine idea, as it allows the user to know exactly how much water he/she has left (and can ration accordingly)
Unlike the heavy and ungainly attachment system of the older, camouflage canteen cover, the new
nylon model attaches to the soldier’s belt with two sturdy plastic clips, manufactured by the
Austrian firm Glock.
