Description

i
An Antique Caloric Fireless Cook Stove Patented Model No.2, Janesville, Wisconsin. Touted as Hygenic, Scientific, Economic.
This Caloric Fireless Cook Stove is in very good condition. There is some wear to the oak case - mostly to the finish (see the photos). The cook stove is mostly complete - we are missing the removeable aluminum food containers. We have the original three soap stones that would supply the heat to keep the food warm and we have the tool to lift and place the soap stones.
You would heat up the soap stones in or on your woodstove, place the stones in the cook stove and then place the containers of food on top of the stones to keep the food warm for hours in that sealed enclosure. The stove could be transported to work sites so the workers or field hands could always have a hot meal at their ready.
Measurements: The oak case is 26 1/2" wide, 15" deep, 14 3/4" high (not counting the wheels). The lid on the left is 11 3/4" wide, the lid on the right is 14 1/2" wide.
The stove, including the stones, weighs in at close to 70 pounds, so shipping is not available.
