Background on Mooqla Dolls:
MOOQLA
deserves to be called the most impressive and daring Russian fashion doll project of all times, and this fact becomes even more obvious regarding the past of Russian doll industry - imported German and French china doll parts in 1900's, laconic and even poor designs of the majority of Soviet dolls, the Barbie-type "Kristinas" and "Veronicas" with primitive clothing, etc.
The mother of the first MOOQLA prototype, designer Polina Voloshina, has made her first articulated dolls using polymer clay and with no commercial purpose - just for fun. The first dolls became original gifts for friends but there were people who said that this hobby can grow into a business.
The investor who was interested in the doll project provided Polina with money to open the doll manufacture in Moscow, and in 2006 the MOOQLA company was founded.
The first six dolls - Lisa, Tanya, Anna, Maya, Laura and Sonya - were introduced to the market at the end of 2006 and each of them had a mysterious story of life written by Linor Goralik, the famous modern writer and the author of the first Russian book about Barbie. According to the legend, MOOQLA girls study in a prestigious boarding school named Millwer Oaks, and each of them has some mystery or tragedy, or some extraordinary abilities.
The MOOQLA dolls in 1/4 scale (about 40 cm tall and 800g weight) are molded from the expensive plastic mix that has gentle silky look and feel; the dolls have glass eyes and synthetic wigs which cover dolls' ears. The wigs are glued onto the dolls' heads.
Each doll is carefully polished, assembled and hand-painted by the artists in Moscow - the MOOQLA doll manufacture is also the place where ill dolls are cured: the specialists will tighten the loose joints and cure other common doll "diseases" for free or for very reasonable prices if the injury is serious.

Each doll had a story!!
"Anna comes from a really wealthy family. She is always dressed to kill and her outfits cost a helluva lot of money. Her stepmother sends her the dough every month, just to keep her away from home. Anna goes shopping in town and however much she has bought, she always has spare money, so she pays for other girls’ purchases. Because of that, nearly all girls think she’s a friend of theirs, while she knows that she doesn’t have any true friends at school. Anna tells nearly nothing about herself. She is way smarter and slier than she seems.”
INFO: These fashionably dressed teen girl dolls are handcrafted in a small workshop. The dolls are made of nice heavy porcelain-like plastic polished until it has a beautiful matte glow. Head, arms and legs are attached by 9 joints that allow flexibility and natural posing.
** NOTE: She DOES NOT have her original box, certificate, or clothes.
She is from I believe 2007. These were produced starting in 2006. She stands approx. 15.5” tall and her wig size is 5-6 approx, depends on the cap.
I am not sure but I think there were only maybe only 50 Anna made in this white plastic.
This auction is for an original Mooqla doll in an original Mooqla black wig, I believe it was cut, would have originally been long.
There are some marks on her head but I couldn't remove them, might have to be sanded? Not sure where they came from. Wig seems to cover them though.
Her make up is not original.
They didn’t have removable head caps, but the previous owner must have cut this one. They glued it back on and I didn’t try and take it off. I think the eyes are original.
These dolls have unusual joints, not typical to BJDs. The knee joints were put in some at an irregular angle — resulting in her having to stand a little bit strange. She can stand, but you have to angle her legs just right as I have shown in the photo. Would do best with a doll stand. You can see the joint in the photos, how the knee ones were most likely installed too far back.
When these were produced the shop was open and doll owners could ship there dolls back to the Doll Hospital where they would fix the joints and be put back in at a better angle.
Her arms and shoulders hold pose pretty good and her neck too. Sitting is easy and the thigh joints aren’t tight, but when you turn these joints different directions they do get tighter. The knees are pretty loose. Someone said to use Flux on the little ball joints and it makes them stiffer.
Over time it produced a yellow/green glow on some of the parts. As you can see her torso is still lighter white. When photographed they can appear with a yellow tone if you use a flash.
Please note this is a used doll, and is about 14 years old. For her age she is in good condition but I did mention the flaws I see. She is NOT a mint condition doll. I do not accept returns so please be sure you have looked at the photos and asked questions prior to bidding and understand her condition.
She will be packed very well and shipped Priority with full value insurance (price reflects insurance).
