Inscribed with hand-stamps on base “Go win V-Forge (Valley forge) - Mr. Mrs. Kurt G Hess”
This canteen is believed to have been owned by Kurt George Hess, a Korean War Air Force veteran who would’ve been reenacting the revolutionary war in the 1950s - 1990s. It is likely that this canteen was at valley forge during the bicentennial, thus the inscription “go win V - Forge” . It certainly looks period, but this is a vintage reproduction. It looks great in any collection and spices it up with a rev war canteen, of which few can own.
It is rusty and in need of some restoration! NO holes or cracks!
