This revolutionary new type of pre-cut heat shrink tubing combines the speed and simplicity of traditional heat shrink tubing with the advantages of standard glue, glue gun, or nail polish.
Once heat is applied, the tubing shrinks within seconds tightly around the butt of your reed but also the glue lining on the inside immediately liquifies and flows to adhere permanently to the cane at the butt end of your reed.  Drying time is  7-10 seconds, as opposed to the usual 24 hour drying time for Duco cement or nail polish. There is no annoying odor, or need for multiple coats.
Reed blanks can be finished and ready to ream & test in seconds.
Even if  1/4" tape (sold separately), or standard thread is used to build up a small internal turks head, a reed can be ready to go in a little under a minute.
The pre-cut length is 3/4", and depending on tube length and middle wire placement, it should be just right.  However, if using a somewhat different middle wire placement a shorter tube for your reed, then snip off a small amount of the tube (using scissors) before applying heat is advised.
