Fox Renard Model 41D Polypropylene Bassoon HIGH D VERY NICE

This is a VERY NICE Fox Model 41 bassoon.
Fox is the best American maker of bassoons and oboes, and this is a great example of a terrific model 41, which in my opinion is the best student bassoon on the market. The model 41 is a terrific polypropylene bassoon. It will never crack like a wood bassoon, and intonation is spot on, owing to the lack of variance in the material. This instrument also includes the optional high D key. Fox's manufacturing is excellent. Intonation is very good, action is terrific, and these bassoons sound good enough to play in almost any setting. This particular one is in very good condition. There are no cracks, repaired or otherwise. Instrument looks very good. Instrument body has been washed and is in very good shape. Has some non-authentic keys that do not negatively affect playability. Some keys have been modified in shop so that they function well. Most pads were replaced in-shop. Instrument plays great and is good to go!
