The letters COPR above the date 1872 we believe that they are Chinese made replicas of this 1872 Peso. Very well done - looks and feels like the real thing. We did not try to clean the coin and will leave that up to the buyer...years of storage..

    Up for your consideration is a rather interesting Mexican Peso Coin replica by the Chinese.  COPR 1872 is clearly seen on the coin.  The coin is in very good condition - looks and feels like the real thing - The coin is magnetic and we are unsure of the metal content...Looks like silver or it may contain silver we are not sure.  Both side are the exact COPR (copy) of the Un Peso Republica Mexicana coin and is even the same size.  Truly a fantasy coin replica.
