This is just one of a number of original Vintage Model Airplane, Car, Hot Rod and Truck Kits that I currently have at auction. Check out my "other auctions" for info on the other ones. No reserve on this hard-to-find, mint-in-box, 1980s Hobbycraft 1/24-scale 1960s Hughes 500MD Tow Helicopter plastic model kit. Kit #HC2701. Excellent attention to detail and quality on this model kit. The contents are mint, unused, unpainted, unassembled and complete with clear parts, colorful decals and the instruction sheet. The instruction sheet notes “IDEA” and not “Hobbycraft”. I don’t know the significance of that or if the kit was licensed from one manufacturer to the other. Perhaps it’s a kit from Idea that’s in a Hobbycraft box or it’s Idea instructions with a Hobbycraft kit. Anyway, I just wanted to point that out. Some of the many parts are still Factory-sealed in their bag. This kit has been sitting in a smoke-free and, generally, dust-free Model Airplane/Aircraft collection for a number of years and was only recently rediscovered. The colorful kit-box looks very good with bright, vivid colors with just some light edge wear, as you can easily see in the photos. There are no split corners on either of the box-halves. Again, the contents of this scarce, older-vintage helicopter kit are mint, unused, unpainted, unassembled and complete with some parts still Factory-sealed in their bag, as very clearly noted above and as shown in the many photos. Makes a very fun addition to any Aircraft or Model Kit collection! Sold "as-is"; please check out all of the photos carefully!
