    Description

    This 22 gauge solid brass reed wire ,manufactured by the Malin Wire Company here in Cleveland Ohio (est. 1884) is the same wire that was used by the bassoon section of the Cleveland Orchestra for many decades under George Szell.  (I know this because I studied with the late Stan Merritt, who was the contra bassoonist with the Cleveland Orchestra for over 40 years).
    This wire, however, has been mechanically straightened at the factory to perfect 3" lengths. You will find this to be
    SO MUCH EASIER
    to work with and there will no waste.
    Also included is a convenient wooden storage container, ideal keeping the wire organized.... as well as helping to minimize the chaos that often becomes our reed desks.
