Here is a very rare 1906 Modern Prize gold token for sale. It sports a beautiful Liberty and Eagle design. This piece is made of solid 22 Karat yellow gold and is set into an 18K bezel. This elegant charm weighs 0.7 grams and is smaller than a dime.
Our research indicates that original Modern Prize gold pieces are known to be "good gold" of an 18K to 22K fineness. The bezel setting tests to 18K or better. Similar and somewhat cruder pieces exist in 9K. This tiny charm is original and made of high quality gold. These issues are quite ellusive and desirable!
This small gold piece is not denominated and is not legal tender; just a super rare old charm. The token is struck in pure 22 Karat or .9167 Fine Gold. The bezel setting is made of 18K gold. Charm weighs 0.7 grams.
