    Description

I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection.
    THIS IS MY LAST ONE!
This is a very nice kit from Academy that is highlighted by a set of stunning Stars and Stripes decals for the nose of this bird. In contrast, the rest of the markings are the Low Visibility type, so there are mixed messages being sent here.
There are only a couple of listings for this kit on eBay (both are opened), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you very quickly.
Here is what I have found online about this particular kit:
The academyhobby.com website does not have a listing for this kit. I assume that means this kit is Discontinued or Out of Production. The Korean version (academy.co.kr) lets you search for the part number and rewards you with an image of the Parts List from their archives. From other sources, here are some of the features of this outstanding kit:
    ·
Highly detailed hub and rotor assemblies
    ·
    Extensive cockpit and cabin details
    ·
Open or closed rear loading ramp
    ·
    Various authentic markings included
    ·
Decal choices include Navy and Marine HH-46 rescue versions
Scalemates.com has a listing that shows this is a 2005 release based on a 2004 state-of-the-art tool. They provide a link to download the complete 12-page instruction set (which includes photos of the 1:1 aircraft) and links to reviews and dozens of aftermarket products and galleries.
Michael Benolkin presents a lengthy First Look Review on cybermodeler.com that has many high-resolution photos of the sprues and decals and a brief history of the CH-46 line of choppers. He goes into detail about the excellent interior and cockpit and concludes with: “
This is the third installment of the CH-46/KV-107 series in 1/48 scale and is still the nicest CH-46 in any scale.

FYI, Michael also did a very nice Build Review of one of the sister kits (#2226) where he got even more enthusiastic about this line of kits by saying: “
Straight out of the box, this kit is an easy build and it is the best fitting model Academy/MRC has produced to date.

Ed Kinney and Dennie Adams collaborated on a two-part (First Look and Build) Review on the ipmsusa.org site that has decent photos of the sprues and the three decal sheets. The First Look Review ends with the following praise: “
I’m pleased to see the seemingly never-ending quality evidenced in this new breed of kits from Academy.  As I’ve stated in the past, they are truly putting forth an outstanding effort to become the industry leader, not just in value received, but stand alone, head to head, competition with other manufacturers in terms of quality without respect to price.
” The Build Review defers to a Build Review of a previous kit, but shows photos of the progress, especially the painting and decaling. The build went well and Dennie said: “
The kit assembles easily and I especially like the interior construction with the windows being trapped between the inside and outside wall.

This kit is in a large, stunningly decorated 19.5” x 12” x 3.5” box. You can see from the photos that it is still snug in its original shrink wrap, so it is still
    factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready.
This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit, with extensive decals and clear parts. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays only the winning bid and for a limited time I am offering this large item with

No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck!
Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder).
As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
